WAIUKU LADIES’ GOLF
♦ From Our Own Correspondent ■ WAIUKU, Today. Tho annual meeting of the women of the Waiuku Golf Club was held on Wednesday evening, the president, Mrs. C. Motion, presiding over an attendance of about 30 members. The following officers were elected: —President, Mrs. C. Motion: vice-presidents, Mesdames A. Duthie, Ducker, BischoffBarriball, M. Aldred; captain, Miss A. Neil; vice-captain, Mrs. C. I. Harkness; secretary, Miss M. Arkle (pro tem); committee, Mesdames C. V. Roscoe, C. C. Munro and Miss J. Ducker.
TE KUITI RUGBY From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. There*was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Te Ivuiti Rugby Football Club, which was held on Wednesday evening. The balance sheet showed that the club’s finances were in a fair position. The third grade team had won the Boddy Shield, while the senior division had annexed the Pukewelca Shield. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. J. C. Rolleston; president, Mr. E. Tapp; secretary and treasurer, Mr. N. Lusby: auditor, Mr. W. H. Joll; hon. surgeons, Drs. de Castro, Isaac and Zobel; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. Witney, McLennan, Mahoney, Dyall, Dobson, Clokey, Allingham, Harker, Stanley, Hoe, Henderson, Hogan, Brewer, Stott, Pash, Walsh, Copsey, Boles, S. Tapp, Elliott, YV. Condon, Petersoji, Dinsdale and Mrs. Halford; management committee, Messrs. E. Petei-son, Stubbings, Boles, Copsey, Baddley, Pitcon, Mullins; delegates to Maniapoto Rugby Union, Messrs. Copsey, Peterson and Boles; club captain, S. Baddley; selectors, senior, Messrs. Peterson and Copsey; juniors, Mr. H. Boles; third grade, Mr. P. Harker. Mr. J. Sheppherd, until recently a member of the Auckland Referees’ Union, and who has taken up his residence in Te Kuiti, was introduced by the chairman. His services would be available for local play during the coming season.
