NEW LYNN FUNCTION FOR ENDOWMENT FUND

* A very successful garden party and fair was held on Saturday afternoon at the residence of the Mayor of New Lynn, Mr. C. F. Gardiner, in connection with the obstetric appeal. Air. C. F. Gardiner opened the function at 2 p.m. by briefW outlining the objects of the fund, and the Mayoress, Airs. C. F. Gardiner, acted as hostess. The function was a combined effort of the women of New Lynn and Titirangi. The stallholders were: —Jumble stall: Mesdames Davidson, Jordan, Reiman, Jecks and Hitchcock; cake stall, Alesdames Parry, James, Edgerly and Howson; sweet stall, Alesdames Lawson and Rankin: produce stall, Alesdames Andrews. Patt, Hatch and Barlow; competitions, Alesdames Brook-Taylor and Cutler. The tea rooms were managed entirely by the Titirangi women, Alesdames AlcFarlane and W. A. Bishop.
