OTAHUHU BOWLING
The final of the singles championship of the Otaliuhu Bowling Club was played during tlie week, and resulted in a win for A. Murdoch, who defeated J. Gardiner by 21—10. WAITEMATA CHAMPIONSHIP The final flurry of the "Waitemata Bowling Club’s singles championship excited great attention yesterday. In the semi-final stages, Johnson defeated Blackwell. Johnson in turn-went down to Lethbridge in a great fight. Blackwell, with a second life in hand, met Burrows, a veteran player, and lost, leaving Burrows and Lethbridge for the final. The game was a tie on the twenty-first head, Burrows winning the next head. Mr. Burrows was runner-up in 1916, and again in 1927 and 1925, so that he lias some reason to be proud of his performance. PAPATOETOE CHAMPION In the final of the singles championship of the Papaioetoe Bowling Club, played yesterday afternoon, Tv. S. Bayliss beat G. Rawnsley, 22—11.
