Rain caused a osl.ponement till tomorrow of tlie speed trials of Kaye Don, the English racing motorist, who is seeking a world record at Daytona Beach. After making two runs today over the speedway at Daytona Beach, Florida, at an average speed of 16S miles an hour, Mr. Don was forced to stop by renewed engine trouble. If he cannot make an attempt on the record tomorrow further runs may be delayed for several days owing to the time of the high tide, which forced him to delay the repair of today’s break until this evening. Although the car was seen to hit several bumps it appeared to hold the course well. Mr. Don had no trouble in controlling it at high speed in spite of the imperfect visibiilty.
