Sir Michael Myers, today reversed the judgment of the magistrate on the appeal of Mr. McCallum, owner of a bullock which, while one of a mob in charge of a drover in the Ngahauranga Gorge, injured John Edward Hill. The case rested on an allegation of negligence, but the evidence showed that tho procedure taken was that generally adopted many years agoXo affirmative evidence of negligence had been called, said the Chief Justice, who said the case was undoubtedly a hard one, but in his opinion the judgment appealed from was erroneous and must be reversed.
