GIFTS TO MISS STREET
CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR WORKER Appreciation of the work performed by Miss Jennie Street in the interests of the Christian Endeavour movement during her tour of ISlew Zealand was expressed by Auckland branches bv farewell gifts to her last evening. All local unions of the movement tvetv represented at the official farewell to Miss Street, who is field secretary of th©_ Christian Endeavour Union of Oreat liritain. The function was held in the Eaiftist Tabernacle The Rev. Eionel R, Eletclier presided In eulogising the work of Miss Street in the Dominion, the Rev. T.. Fletcher presented the guest with greetings from all New Zealand branches, and also with a New Zealand flag, which will be taken bv her to the world convention at Berlin this year. Miss Street was also presented with a cheque and a rug, similar to that presented tho Duke of York, by the New Zealand Union and a travelling bag and inscribed banner by the Auckland federation of Christian Endeavour Unions. The recipient suitably responded Miss Street leaves tomorrow to conduct a campaign in Australia.
