“BLOW NOT A FOUL”
SARRON-DONOVAN FIGHT From Our Resident Reporter WELLINGTON, Today. The blow on which the referee (Mr. R. Meale) disqualified Sarron in his contest against Donovan, declares a prominent boxing man who was at the match, was no foul. This spectator who occupied a good position to judge the whole incident, states that the alleged “rabbit punch” was on the back of the head, toward the ear. An interesting side of the affair is that there was a film of the light being taken and this is expected to provide valuable evidence on the point. The return contest between Sarron and Donovan at Wellington is very likely to be arranged, and it is understood that Mr. Earl Stewart, wellknown judge and adviser to the New Zealand Boxing Association, will set as referee.
