MORE ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD CITY RUGBY CLUB The annual meeting of the City Rugby Football Club was held last evening, the president, Mr. C. G. Macindoc, presiding over an attendance of 50 members. The report and balance sheet showed the club to be in a highly satisfactory position. The following officers were elected; Patron. Mr. G. McMillan; president, Mr. C. G. Maeindoe; hon. secretary, Mr. H. Oakley; hon, treasurer, Mr. G. IT. Metcalfe; hon. auditor, Mr. IT. C. Russell; hon. surgeon, Dr. Hardie Neil: delegates to Auckland Rugby Union. Messrs. 11. Oakley, H. Barnes and J Murray; delegate to Junior Management Board, Mr. S. Garland; coaches, Messrs. G. Haddon and J. Murray; Management Committee, Messrs. E. Clements, H. G. Farnall, IT. E. Mitchelson, N. Pitcaithley and IT. Donaldson. Medals donated by the president were awarded to the most improved players as follows; Senior grade, R. Allen; second grade, V. Logan; third grade. W. Wells. MARIS! RUGBY CLUB The annual general meeting of the Marist Brothers Old Boys’ Rugby Football Club was held on Tuesday evening Bro. Calixtus presided over an attendance of about 70 members. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted, the balance sheet showing the club’s finances to be in a sound position.

It was resolved to hold the annual picnic on April 6. A vote of thanks to the retiring officers was carried. OTAHUHU RUGBY CLUB Over SO members and intending members of the Otaliuhu Rugby Union Clvb attended the annual meeting held in the Public Hall, Otaliuhu, on Tuesday evening. Messrs. H. Frost, chairman, and T. W. Maben, secretary ot the Auckland Rugby Union, were present. It was decided that the first practice would be held on April 1 and the first field practice on April 5. In the annual report eulogistic reference was made to the performance of the fourth grade team, which won the grade championship, and to the third intermediate and seventh A grade, which filled the positions of runners-up in the competitions. The balance sheet showed the club to be in a very good financial position, the net profits for the season exceeded £32. and there is I a surplus of assets over liabilities of j £195. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Dr. A. M. Ross; president, Mr. J. Muir: vice-presidents, same as last year; club captain, Mr.. W. K. O’Hara: hon. secretary, Mr. F. Arnold; treasurer. Mr. P. IT. White; general committee, Messrs. L. C. Dav, G. White, S. Clark, D. Hill and J. IT. Nelson; delegates to the Auckland Rugby Union, Messrs. A. Murdoch, J. Muir, F. BELMONT SOCCER The annual meeting of the Belmont Association Football Club was held last night in the Belmont School, tho president, Mr. Harrison, being in the chair. Thirty-five members were present/ The financial statement showed a very satisfactory credit balance. The secretary reviewed the work of the committee during the year and complimented the ten teams of the club on their sporting play and excellent conduct. Special mention was made of the third intermediate and seventh teams, which had won the championships in their grades. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, Mr. W. K. NORTHCOTE-BIRKENHEAD The first annual meeting of the Nortlicote and Birkenhead Rugbv Union Football Club was held at Xorthcote last and was largely attended. Mr. R. A. Johnston presided. The report stated if was a matter for congratulation that after many years the Rugby code had again been established in the district. Four teams were placed in the field and played right through the season. Mr. H. Frost, chairman of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby Union, said the union desired to assist the club in its infancy. He expressed his appreciation of "what was being done for Rugby by supporters in the district. The following officers were elected: Patron. Mr. W. M. Jacks; vice-patron * Mr. A. E. Greenslade; president. Mr IT. A. Johnston; vice-presidents, 25 in number; secretary, Mr. A. Grant; treasurer. Mr. L. M. Nicholson: club captain. Mr. R. B. Brown; delegate to Auckland Rugby Union, Mr. A. W. Millar; committee, Messrs. C. Palmer. C. Aspden. J. Taylor. IT. Harris. F. Dickson. P. J. Ryan, A. J. Hurley, O. Tar butt. J. F. Potter and J. Major; auditor. Mr. A. E. Greenslade. The selection committee is to comprise the club captain, with the coach and captain of each team. It was stated that the competitions would start in six weeks. Pending arrangements for using the municipal football ground, practices are to be held on. the grounds at St. Peter’s College for Maori Boys.
