CLAUDELANDS WEDDING

VEIL OF BRUSSELS NET PYPER—ANNETT The marriage was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Claudelands, recently of Sarah Maud, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Annett, of Claudelands, and Herbert James Pyper, of Pukeatua, and late of Aberdeen, Scotland. The Rev. J. T. Burrows performed the ceremony and Miss Rose Findlay played the wedding music. The church was beautifully decorated by the girl friends of the bride with white lilies and roses, and over the bridal party was suspended a floral wedding bell. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her brother, was in a charming frock of ivory georgette and silver lace, fashioned with a fluted skirt falling to the ankles in an uneven liemhne. A coronet of orange blossoms, with side clusters, held in place the embroidered brussels net veil. She carried a bouquet of white lilium auratum, carnations and maidenhair fern. Miss Dorothy Pilkington attended as bridesmaid and wore a frock of leafgreen georgette. fashioned with a close-fitting bodice, and full frilled skirt. She wore a hat to tone and carried a shower bouquet of autumn tints. The flower girl, Miss Marion McKinnon, wore a frock of primrose georgette, with full frilled skirt and a closefitting hat to tone. She carried a posv in tones of blue. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. G. Gifford as best man. As the bride and groom left the church, amid showers of confetti, a guard of honour was formed by the members of the St. Andrew’s Bible classes, of which the bride was a prominent member. The reception was held at the Centreway Tea Rooms, where Airs. Annett received her guests wearing a frock of navy blue silk Bengaline relieved with beige and hat to tone. Air. and Airs. Pyper left by motorcar for the wedding trip, which is to be spent touring in the North. The bride’s travelling suit was of navy silk bengaline with bankok hat to tone.
