CHARACTER READING
Laughter is the truest expression of Character known. Palm lines and nodical signs are helpful iu> determining qualities of character, but in the manner in twhich the individual responds to comedy is the simplest and surest of all tests. So says Charles Mack, lazy-voiced Crow, now appearing with Moran in “The Two Black Crows in the A.E.F..” their next all-talking comedy for Paramount. “Comedians are natural character readers,” says Mack, “and find tremendous amusement in picking out types in audiences. We have found that those who laugh heartily with eyes as well as vocal chords may foe trusted. they are generally generou.s and sympathetic. The shrewd cautious, man betrays himself by laughing in his throat, with a straight fate. Althoigh often mentally brillian", those with little jerky laughs are Persons of shallow character and are Poable to stand temptations.”
