“THE COCK-EYED WORLD” The third week of the season cf tee popular Fox Movietone talking film. “The Cock-Eyed World,” will start at the Plaza Theatre tomorrow. The stars of this side-splitting comedy are Victor McLaglen and Edmund Lowe. The film is based on a story written by Laurence Stallings and Maxwell Anderson, who wrote ih« unforgettable “What Price Glory.” Lowe and McLaglen are still in the marines, though it is peace time, but there is plenty of fighting in the tropics—and between themselves. Of their many love affairs, three are most prominent—one in the tropics with the gorgeous Lily Damita, another in cold Russia with fascinating LeU.i Karnelly, and the third at Coney Island with an American girl, Jean Bary. The supporting cast is one of rank. CRYSTAL PALACE. MT. EDEN “Flight,” an outstanding aviatiovf drama, is the new attraction at the Crystal Palace Theatre, Mount Eden Road, from today. The stars are Jack Holt, Ralph Graves and Lila Lee. and the story deals with a young university man who is publicly laughed aU for his football and joins the USMarine Aviation Section. After training as a pilot he goes to Nicaragua, and there experiences some aerial warfare. There are many tense scenes in the clouds in this picture, also some charming romantic scenes. Bright supports are also beini shown. VICTORIA, DEVONPORT “Four Feathers.” an unusually interesting film, will again be screened at the Victoria Theatre, Devonport. 1c is hailed as an epic of British courage in the Sudan and concerns the experiences of four British officers. Many of the scenes were actually filmed in the Sudan, which gives great effect to the film. Clive Brook, Richard Arlen, William Powell, Fay Wray and Noah Beery are the stars. Full supports are also being sented. SUBURBAN THEATRES At the Tivoli Theatre, Karangahapd Road, is “The Cocoariuts,” the big talking comedy introducing the four famous Marx Brothers of the New York stage, and “Romance of tlie Rio Grande,” a talking and singing picture starring Mona Maris and Warner Baxter. The Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is presenting the tuneful musical revue entitled “Words and Music.'* starring Lois Moran and David Percy. The Rialto Theatre. Newmarket, is showing “J oy Street, '* starring .l*ojs Moran, and “Get Your Man,” star ing Clara Bow.
