PHILATELISTS MEET

AUCKLAND SOCIETY Membership of the Auckland Philatelic Society increased by 20 during the past year, the most featured feature being the number of young members who have joined the organisation This fact was commented upon by the president, Mr. F. W. Davie, at the society’s annual meeting last evening. Satisfaction was expressed with the activities of the exchange branch, country members in particular being praised for the keenness shown in this line Officers for the ensuing year were elected as under: —President, Mr. F. W. Davie; vice-presidents, Mr. G. H. Minchin and Miss I. Nash; secretary, Miss E. Ponsford: exchange superintendent. Mr. H. Bressey; auditor, Mr. J. S. Bell: committee, Miss E. B. Fowler, and Messrs. J. W. Shaw, H. C. Duthie, S. Passavant and G. Edmonds
