DISPUTE WITH POVERTY BAY CLUB SETTLEMENT WAS OFFERED Press Association DANNEVIRKE, Tuda y. In connection with the message from Gisborne regarding the action in which Air. R. H. Skipwith secured judgment against the Poverty Bay Turf Club l'or the amount of his starting fees for two days after the postponement of the meeting, Air. Skipwith explains that th’e report omitted to say that he offered to settle the case on the basis of payment of one day’s fee and £3 3s expenses. This settlement, as stated by Air. Skipwith’s counsel during the hearing, was refused by the club.
