Blackley, representative of | the Counties’ Association on the Town | Planning Board (chairman), Mr. H. S. ! Walsh, surveyor-general, and Mr. J. | W. Mawson, director of town-planning, j The chairman explained that the i committee had to take evidence in difj ferent centres in New Zealand to determine what should be recommended as the basis of regions in which there was community of interests. Suitable boundaries were defined, and at the conclusion of the inquiry, delegates from j various local bodies passed a resolu- | tion commending the furtherance of regional planning.
