PRODUCTION INCREASES Highly satisfactory returns for the month of February continue to be rej ported by dairy companies from all 1 parts of the province. On Thursday next the Cambridge i Co-operative Dairy Company will pay I out £26.195 on a basis of Is 4*d a lb j for butter-fat for cheese, and Is lid a | lb for butter-fat for butter, compared : with £22,455 last year, on a higher per I pound of butter-fat basis. ! The Raglan Co-operative Dairy i Company will make a February payment at the rate of Is Id a lb for super-fino butter-fat. The company’s output to date is 331 tons of butter, compared with a total of 325 for the whole of last season. One hundred and fourteen tons of butter, compared with 52 tons last year, were put through by the East Tamaki Co-operative Dairy Company during February. Payments to suppliers this season amount to £110.272, compared with £75,167 for the corresponding period of last season Although production at the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Comj pany's factory showed a considerable j advance over last season for February i and for the season to date, the amount ! tc bo paid to suppliers for butter-fat ' tor February shows a decrease of | nearly £6OO, as compared with the figures for February of last year. The j difference is accounted for by the drop | of 3d a lb in the advance. The aggregate payout for the season, as compared with last, is still £1,554 ahead, i The butter-fat received during February, 1030. was 521,3281 b, against 449,5081 b for February of sast year. The output for the season to date is 3,592,3321 b, as against 3,308,7541 b for last season. The payout for February, .1030, at Is 2d a lb-is £31,371, compared with £31,90S at Is 5d a lb. The total for the season to date is £226,027, compared with £224,172 for last season.
