“LADY BE GOOD”
SPARKLING FREDDIE FORBES ; An entertaining revival of that bright musical comedy, “Lady, Be Good,” is now being staged at His Majesty’s Theatre. Freddie Forbes is the man for his part—that of a debonair lawyer who gets his clients and himself into very hot water though he tries hard to keep cool. His humour is irresistible and he gave the house aching sides with his quips and funny descriptions. He carries the show on his shoulders, but is energetically supported by Ernest Arnley ns blankfaced Bertie Bassett, Fred Webber and Catherine Stewart, as the evicted orphans who must redeem their fortunes somehow, and Betty Lambert and Aster Faire as two contenders for the heart of the sidewalk orphan. Charles Perrin plays an excellent “live ghost.” The show changes on Saturday, when “Sunny” will be played at the matinee performance by the same company. John Blystone’s next picture will be titled “Free Ankles,” and will be a melody drama in which the yonng personalities at the Fox Studio will appear in important roles. Alreadv assigned are Marjorie White, Sue Carol, Dixie Lee, Douglas Gilmore, Richard Keene, Walter Katlett and Elizabeth Patterson.
