ATHLETIC SPORTS
EAST TAMAKI FIXTL RE Arrangements are now well in hand for the annual sports meeting of the East Tamaki Amateur Sports Club, to be held on the East Tamaki Recreation Grounds on Saturday afternoon. The grounds are improving year by year, and at present aro in tip-top order, and all that is required to guarantee a successful and enjoyable meeting is lino weather. Good entries have been received for the athletic events, and with some of Auckland's best speed merchants in action, the public will be well catered for. The hunting events are arousing keen interest among the lovers of horses, and with the meeting being held right in the heart of the Pakuranga Hunt's stronghold, some of the best hunting stock in Auckland, if not New Zealand, will bo seen over tlio obstacles. Arrangements have been made for the transport of patrons from the Great South Road to the grounds, ns advertised.
