HATRY GETS NO SYMPATHY FROM CHIEF JUSTICE
Reed. 10.50 a.m. LONDON, Monday. IN dismissing the appeal of Clarence Hatry, the Chief Justice, Lord Hewert* said the sentence was not a day too much. It would date from today and riot from the date of the conviction. Hatry was recently sentenced to 14 years’ imprisonment for one of the greatest financial swindles that has ever been perpetrated in England.
