A lead to the builder and the home Se a k t r I s siven b y the Government which, through Sir Joseph Ward, some ago instructed all departments that New Zealand timber, is to be used as far as possible for departmental purposes.
A uniform grading and classification scheme has been completed and applied by millers, who have undertaken to supp.\ tne departments with timber cut L rue to grade, sizes and properly seasoned.
