Round the Churches
Divine services, morning and evening, will be conducted at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell, when the preacher at both services will be Canon Fancourt.
“What is God Like?” Part 2, will be the subject discussed by Canon Grant Cowen at the 7 o’clock evening service of St. Matthew’s Church, Wellesley Street, and in the morning the Rev. G. R. Monteith will preach.
The Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher will be the preacher at the morning and evening services of the Beresford Street Congregational Church.
Farewell services to Miss Jennie Street will be conducted at the Pitt Street Methodist Church.
Mr. H. F. Robinson will preach on “Our Xeighbours and Ourselves” at the 7 o’clock evening service of the Auckland Higher Thoguht Temple.
A farewell meeting to Miss Jennie Street will be conducted under the auspices of the New Zealand Christian Endeavour Union at the Baptist Tabernacle on Wednesday, March 19, at 7.30 p.m.
Mr. E. C. Farr will preach at both services of the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport.
Harvest Festival services, with special music and addresses, will be conducted at the Edendale Presbyterian Church.
Services morning and evening will be held at the Somervell Memorial Church, and the preacher will be the Rev. T. NT. Cuttle, of Greymouth.
“God’s Thoughts and Man’s Thoughts” will be the subject at the 11 a.m. Harvest Festival service at the Mount Eden Congregational Church. The Grange Road Baptist Church will conduct morning and evening ser- 1 * vices. * * * At the 7 o’clock evening service of the Progressive Church of Spiritualists, Newmarket, Mr. Fitton will speak on “Spiritual Sunshine.” & # Afternoon and evening services will be conducted by the Spiritual Scientists’ Church, Grey Lynn. * <* » Harvest thanksgiving 'festival will be celebrated at the St. John’s Church, Ponsonby Road. The preachers will be the Rev. C- G. Scrimgeour and the Rev. E. T. Olds, respectively. Services, morning and evening, will be conducted by both the Avondale. Methodist Church and the Waterview Methodist Church. * * * The First Church of Christ, Christian Science, will hold meetings morning and evening in the Church Hall, Symonds Street. * * * The quarterly meeting of the Council of Christian Congregations will be held in the St. David’s Hall, Ivliyber Pass, on Monday, March 17, at 7.45 p.m. * * Sister Bessie will speak at the morning service of the Methodist Central Mission, Airedale Street. An afternoon men’s meeting will be held at the Y.M.C.A. at 4J.5. Mr. J- E. A. Gates will be the speaker at the evening meeting of the International Bible Students’ Association. * * * The Christadelphians • will hold morning and evening services at the Freemasons’ Hall, Belgium Street. # * * A blessing of the new church-school will be conducted by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Liston, at Point Chevalier, Montrose Street, at 3 p.m. tomorrow.
