TWO BOATS WERE LIFTED BODILY across the deck of the Hertford, and other fittings badly damaged, by a huge wave which struck the steamer during an Atlantic storm. The work of repairing the boats is at present being carried out aboard the Hertford, which reached Auckland yesterday.
