NEW POSTMASTER

APPOINTMENT AT ONEHUNGA Mr. If. C. Petchell, who has been a supervisor of the telegraph branch in Auckland for the past eight years, has been appointed postmaster at Onehunga to fill the position made vacant by the retirement on superannuation of Ml* C. W. Ross. He will take up his position within the next few weeks. Petchell joined the service in Invercargill as a messenger in IS9B. later being transferred to Waverley and Tauranga. He was then appointed telegraph supervisor at Masterton, coming to Auckland.
