MATANGI BEATS CAMBRIDGE SIX DAYS’ PLAY From. Our Own Correspondent TE AROHA, Today. The Auckland provincial polo tournament concluded this afternoon after six days’ play. In the final for the junior cup Matangi C defeated Cambridge B by 6 to 1. The winners’ scorers were Russell 1 Otemett 2 anti Ranstead 3. The handicap cup was won by AVhangarei (handicap 12) from Waihou B (handicap 16), by 21. to 18. Whangarei played a fine winning game throughout, their driving, following up. centring and wheeling being applauded by the onlookers. For Whangarei, Sloane 2. A. Finlayson 3 and Nelson 4 scored, and for the losers 3 lines 1, D. Spence 1. Mr. Wilson refereed both games.

At the conclusion, R. Burke, president. presented the respective cups to the Matangi and Whangarei teams.
