SAVIOUR OF CROPS
AUSTRALIAN STATES ARE SOAKED BY RAIN CHANGED BUSINESS OUTLOOK Reed. 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. Splendid rain has fallen in the agricultural and pastoral areas of Australia during the past week. South Australia and Western Australia received a good drenching in the early part of the week, since when Victoria and Tasmania, and now New South Wales, benefited more or less substantially. The wheat belt of Victoria reports a most encouraging changed outlook, which has stimulated business.
Inland portions of New South Wales have not yet fared as generously as the coastal districts, which are getting a proper soaking, but the indications are that the present disturbance is likely to extend over all parts of the State.
