GOLFERS’ YEAR
MAUNGAKIEKIE REPORT “Although the revenue account shows a loss of £9 5s Bd, having regard to the fact that the cost of improvements to both clubhouse* and the new construction work on the Titirangi course has been capitalised and full depreciation written off, the committee felt that this result might be regarded with satisfaction.” Thus opens the annual report of the Maungakiekie Golf Club to be presented at the annual general meeting of the club on March 26. It continues: "In furtherance of the completion of Dr. McKenzie’s scheme of reconstruction work at Titirangi the fourth and eleventh greens had now been constructed ajjd sown and should be ready for play toward the end of the year.
