PEARCE TO MAKE ATTEMPT HANDICAPS FOR TOMORROW Once again France Pearce will thrill Auckland broadsiding enthusiasts. Tomorrow' evening he will be at Western Springs Stadium to endeavour to set a new record. Last Saturday he set a new lap record, circling the track in 20 seconds. Tomorrow evening he will attempt to set a new mile record. In addition to Pearce, Perkins and Datson will be seen in action and the ranks of the local champions, Bray, •Matson, Allen and Herbert, will be strengthened by the inclusion of Reg Ranby, holder of the middle-weight grass-track championship, who has been broadsiding in Wellington and Christchurch. The programme will be made up of the B Grade Handicap, the Pascoe Cup Handicap, and the Big Nine Handicap.. Other events wrill be match races between Pearce and a local rider to be selected, Perkins and a local rider, and Pearce and Perkins. Handicaps are as follow: Grade Handicap.—First heat: B.
