FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE

OUTBREAK AT BIRKENHEAD A tire which broke out in Rawene Road. Birkenhead. at about 10.19 yesterday morning, completely destroyed a five-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. A. H. White. The brigade was summonei, and assisted by the outside staff of the Borough Council, the flames w« re prevented from spreading to the adjoining houses. At the time of the outbreak MrsWhite was on her way to do sora® shopping, but on receiving news of the fire.- hastily returned. Bank notes to the extent of £3O were lost. The house was insured and there is a small policy on the furniture, but as yet no details are available.
