PILES ON RAILWAY BRIDGES A.A.A. It was stated that the com bined railway and traffic bridge on ti • Great South Road at Huntly was ; danger to traffic as the piles were ban ; situated. The chairman, Mr. A. Grayson. san there was room for two vehicles i 1 pass abreast between the piles, bu there was little to spare. There wa ; no light on the piles and. as the bridge was at a turn in the road* it was par tieularly dangerous at night-time j There had already been one acciden ! there. It was pointed out that other bridge- . nearer Auckland were also dangerou> notably at Wiri. Manurewa. Ngaiua , wahia and Drury. j A suggestion to the Main Ilighwa' Board that the question of the Huntl\ bridge should be taken up with th.
