The swimming carnival held under the auspices of the Te Awamutu District High School took place at the Te Awamutu baths on Wednesday afternoon. There was a good attendance of pupils and parents. The various events were keenly contested, and some close finishes resulted. Following were successful : Primary Championship, Boys, 50yds.— J. Mensforth, 1; R. Burns, 2. .
