STREET COLLECTIONS

SEVEN DATES ARRANGED Aucklanders will have the privilege of contributing to seven street collections this year; by arrangement with the Auckland City, Mount Eden and Mount Albert Councils. The dates fixed are:—Plunket Society, March 28; Poppy Day (a date in April to be fixed); Community Sunshine Association, May 30; Hospital Auxiliary, June 27; Victoria and Navy League, combined appeal, September 5; St. John Ambulance Brigade, October 3; Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and the Society for Protection of Women and Children, combined appeal, November 7. The local bodies, other than the City, Mount Eden and Mount Albert, have jointly agreed to restrict the number of street collection days to five per annum.
