FULL ADMISSION
FOR SENTENCE ON 14 COUNTS ARREST OF ARMED YOUTH Pleading guilty at the Police Court this morning to charges of attempting to break and enter the Remuera Rail- ‘ v.*av Station, and being found by night in possession of house-breaking implements, Robert John Bolton was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bolton is also for sentence on I - summary charges to which he pleaded guilty on Monday. Bolton, a labourer, aged 20, was arrested in Newmarket at midnight on i February 24. A loaded revolver was then in his possession. Reginald Hector Walker, a railway porter, employed at the Remuera | Station, said he discovered that an j attempt had been made to break into the place when he arrived for duty in the early morning of February 24. There were the marks of an instrument on the door. Part of a nail-file j was found in the Yale lock. CAPTURE DETAILED Bolton's capture in Newmarket on February 24 was detailed by Constable Hendren. Witness bad been attracted by the flash of a torch at five minutes to midnight, and found Bolton in a shop doorway. He could not explain his actions, and was taken to the Police Station, where two screwdrivers. a pair of pliers, a wire lock pick, numerous keys, a pair of scissors, two torches, and a loaded revolver were found in his possession. He also had part of a nail-file, corresponding to the piece left in the lock at the Remuera Station. Acting-Detective Mills produced a statement made by Bolton when ho was interviewed on the day after his arrest. Accused's guilt was fully admitted. Bolton pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., deferred sentence on the 12 summary charges of mischief and theft until accused had been sentenced bv the Supreme Court.
