Sir Alexander Herdman arrived by the Limited express today.
Mr. John Fuller is visiting New Zealand and is at present in the South Island. Lieutenant-Colonel F*. Symon, C.M.G., director of artillery, arrived in Auckland by the Limited express today. Mr. W. J. Fletcher, of the Fletcher Construction Company, sailed for England by the Aorangl. He was accompanied by Mrs. Fletcher. Mr. W. C Wentworth and Mr. G. Wentworth, of Sydney, who returned to Auckland yesterday frrjm a fishing holiday at tne Hay of Islands, are staying at tl e Grand Hotel. Mr. R. C. Anderson, inspector in charge of tie New Zealand division of the Bank of New South Wales, who has been on a visit to Auckland during the past lortnight, has. left for the South. Mr. J. W. Williamson, Mayor of Taka puna, w io attended the Munir t i Conference ft Invercargill, has since been touring in the Cold Lakes District. He expects to return to Auckland early next week. The Rev. A. S. Wilson, minister of the Grange Road Baptist Church, has accepted it call to St. Alban’s Baptist Church. Christchurch. Mr. Wilson does not expect to leave Auckland until the end of the year.
