FRANKTON STOCK SALE
LATE RATES MAINTAINED Under an average yarding fat bullocks at the Frankton stock sale today met with a ready sale at late rates. Fat cows and heifers were penned in average numbers, and prices were on a par with late rates. Inferior quality and boner cows were lower. Best fat young cows and heifers, £lO 32s 6dr ordinary prime cows, £S to £9; inferior cows, £5 5s to £6 ss; inferior runners, 30s to 395. There was a very large yarding of sheep. Fat sheep sold at full late lates, and young breeding owes were in good demand. Shorn wether lambs made 12s to 16s: shorn ewe lambs. 15s 6.1 to 17s 4d: shorn lambs, 10s 9d to 11s Od: cull lambs. 7s: s.m. ewes, 21s; f.m. owes, 12s 6d to 16s Sd; extra choice Lwo-tooth ewes, 26s 9d. There was a large yarding of fat pigs. Large baconers and heavy porkers were a shade lower. All store pigs were lower. One exceptional line of 90 heavy baconers were sold at £4 12s Bd.
