Commercial Bank Ease A BRIGHTER tone is registered on ’Change and numerous sales are being recorded. Commercial Bank of Australia are again easing, these shares being sold this morning at 21s 6d, a drop of twopence cn last evening.

Australasia have strong buyers at ills. National of Australasia (paid) have improved slightly. National of New Zealand are firmer. Wales are steady. New Zealand are inclined to ease. Little movement is noticed in Union. Insurance section continues quiet. New Zealand have buyers at 43s 3d. sellers have reduced to 445, last sale 445. Queensland are unsupported. South British have improved slightly, buyers now quoting 60s 3d, sellers remaining at 61s. Standard are also unsupported. . . Many buyers are appearing in the coal section. Hikurangi, all issues, have steady buyers. Bukemirc sar* unchanged. Renown (Jiref.) have steady buyers, few shares changing
hands. Westfield have keen buyers at 29s 6d, sellers holding for 31s. Mine Managers’ Reports Mine managers* report as follows: Hauraki.—“The drive seaward on the Stockwood reef has been advanced to 38ft. The show of amalgam on the plates has improved since the gold was seen early in the week. The rise from the back of the stopee is up 85ft from the floor of the 400 ft level, leaving 25ft to reach the level of the drive from the Tangye winze. Taranaki Oil (N.Z.) Company, Ltd.
