MR. COATES IN SOUTH

SOUTHLAND ENTHUSIASTIC Press Association INVERCARGILL, Tuesday. The Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, visited Riverton, Otautau and Winton today and was most enthusiastically received by large gatherings of Reform supporters. In the evening 300 supporters from all parts of Southland assembled at a dinner held in his honour. The function was marked by the greatest enthusiasm and Mr. Coates's supporters w ere treated to an eloquent speech by their leader. Mr. Coates will leave for Dunedin in the morning.
