CYCLIST CRASHES
ACCIDENT ON TRACK AT WANGANUI SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES From Our Own Correspondent WANGANUI, Today. Losing control of his machine while racing on the Cook’s Gardens track last evening a cyclist, Jack Foote, aged' 19, a member of the Wellington representative athletic team, crashed into the fence round the oval and received severe head injuries and bruises. Plis cycle reached the edge of the track and skidded along the fence until the front wheel hit a post, against which the rider was thrown. He was unconscious when picked up, and was operated upon at the public hospital. He regained consciousness and his condition is reported to be satisfactory.
