From Our Own Correspondent THAMES, Today. The Tapu Sports Club has donated a further J- 30 to the Tapu War Alemorial Park. During the past three years a total of £92 has been donated by this club The Thames parachutist. Air. Noah Jonassen, leaves for Hastings this week where he will give an exhibition of parachute descent from an airplane next Saturday. The Valley. queen (Aliss Mavis Elliott) is at present leading in the Waiomo Park queen carnival. The carnival will close on Alarch 28. and the coronation ceremony will take place at a later date. • * * A regatta and sports meeting will be held at Coromandel during Easter. During the coming winter motorists will be able to motor from Coromandel to Colville. The road between Amodeo Bay and Colville is now being metalled. Fishermen at Thames have had a lean time during the pa at fortnight, and small catches have been the order of the day. The seine boats also complain of the scarcity of fish.
