SUBURBAN THEATRES
Entertaining film programmes are being presented at the Thomas A. O’Brien suburban theatres. The Tivoli Theatre, Karangahape Road, is showing: the talking comedy, “They Had to See Paris,” starring Will Rogers; also a number of short talkie features, including Ruth Chatterton in “The Dummy.” At the Regent Theatre, Epsom, are two comedies, “Fools for Luck,” starring W. C. Fields and Chester Conklin, and “What a Night.” The Rialto Theatre, Newmarket, is presenting the comedy-drama “Girls Gone Wild” and “The One Woman Idea,” the story of a Persian prince-, starring Rod La Rocque. At the Britannia Theatre, Three Lamps, is “Innocents of Paris.” the great talking and singing picture starring Maurice Chevalier. Arthur Hammerstein, famous producer of “"Rose Marie” and many other successful Broadway musical plays, has joined United Artists.
