HAURAKI PLAINS GATHERING From Our Oicn Correspondent NGATEA, Today. The biggest gathering seen in Ngatea for a very long time assembled on Friday for the Hauraki Plains primary schools’ second annual championship sports, in which ITS children from the nine schools in the county competed. The Ngatea school again won the championship cup. and the Patetonga school won the similar prize for small schools, as well as winning the runnerup’s trophy against schools with three times the roll number. The boys’ points prize was also won by Patetonga, and the girls’ points prize by Ngatea. The championship points won by the schools are as follow: Ngatea. 12. Patetonga, 10; Xetherton.
