HUGE INDIAN STRIKE
THIRTY THOUSAND JUTE WORKERS IDLE GENERAL' STOPPAGE FEARED Reed. 2.10 p.m. DELHI, Monday. Thirty thousand jute workers are Idle near Calcutta, as the result of a lightning strike which is threatening the stoppage of the whole industry. The police dispersed a mob of 3,000 workers who attacked one mill with bricks, following a rumour that a Epropean mill assistant had assaulted some labourers.
