POSSIBILITY OF REVIVAL AUSTRALIAN GROUP INTERESTED Representing* a group of Australian business interests, Mr. J. W. Langridge arrived in Auckland by the Marama this morning to investigate the possibilities of a revival in the kauri gum industry. Mr. Langridge said the groups he mentioned had sent two of Australia’s foremost mining engineers to the Mount Carmel district, Ohura, where they were now looking into the possibilities of starting an industry- Mr. Langridge intends to visit the field and obtain first hand an idea of what can be done. He remarked that Australian investors were beginning to look toward New Zealand for investment opportunities.
