PROVIDENT BENEFITS

CONGREGATIONAL ASSEMBLY REPORT SOUND N.Z. FUND At the Congregational Assembly this morning, Sir George Fowlds presented the report of the Pastors’ Provident Fund, revealing a highly satisfactory position. Sir George had been to Australia to the Australian and New Zealand Congregational Union meeting*, specially to further the cause of the interchange of provident fund benefits with other countries. He was able to say that, for its relative size. New Zealand’s fund was as rich as, or richer than any other fund. Prospects of amalgamating funds with other countries were bright. A report on the “New Zealand Con - gregaticnalist” showed that the publication had advanced rapidly in five years. While solid work has been done in the London Missionary Society's auxiliaries and women’s committees, contributions had decreased in all centres except one. Satisfaction was expressed at the offer from Miss Ngaire Mill, Wellington, of her services for work overseas.
