PAKURANGA HUNT

CLUB’S SUCCESSFUL YEAR UNIFORMLY GOOD SPORT Prospects for the season were excellent, according to the annual report of the Pakuranga Hunt Club, presented at the club’s annual meeting, which ■was held yesterday, Mr. H. Bullock - Webster presiding. Satisfaction was expressed at the past year’s working. There had been uniformly good sport and the hounds had accounted for 28 brace of hares. The new country around Homai and Opaheke was a valuable addition, and the welcome giveii by farmers was highly gratifying. There was a very good pack of young hounds for the coming season. The point-to-point races at Ramarfima and the hunt races at Ellerslie had been very satisfactory. Everything pointed to a good season in 1930. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £350 10s. The following officers were elected: Patron, Lord Bledisloe (subject to his consent) ; president, the Right Hon. J. G.. Coates; vice-presidents, Sir F. W. Lang, Messrs. M. Buckland, F. Earl and G. Baildon; master, Mr. H. Bul-lock-Webster; deputy-master, Dr. A. M. Grant; field master, Mr. W. McLaughlin; hunt committee, Messrs. J. Adams, C. Allen, B. H. Bishop "W T Duder, B. M, Myers, W. W, McLaughlin, F. A.. Price, A. G. Quartley, E. J. Rae, .O. Self, W. J. Sharp and Dr. A. M'. Grant; race committee, Messrs. W S. Dalton, W. T. Duder, G. Hodgson. D. J. Lynch, PI. R. Mackenzie, H. Millington, J. J. Preston, F. A. Price A G. Quartley, E. J. Rae, R. T. Reid H Bullock-Webster and J. Williamson: auditors, Messrs. Morris, Duncan and Gyllies; secretary, Mr. R. O. Neal. Mr. PI. Bullock-Webster, who has been a member of the club for 30 > oars, ami who has held the position of master for 19 consecutive years .was unanimously elected a life member of the club.

Votes of thanks were passed to those farmers on whose property the club has hunted.
