FROM A NINE-YEAR-OLD

I went to see the animals being fed at the circus. There were two mother monkeys who were chained up. They each had a baby. The babies were not tied up, so their mothers held their hands. The mother monkeys were given a threepenny ice-cream each, and the baby monkeys were not given any, so the mother monkeys offered the babies some of theirs. The baby monkeys did not want any, so they hugged their mothers and let them eat it.
