PRETTY AVONDALE WEDDING
ATTENDANTS IN BLUE FORSYTH —GREY A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Jude’s Church, Avondale, between Olwyn, second daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. C. D. Grey, “BanweH Lodge,” Avondale, and Allan Leslie, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Forsyth, of Fifth Avenue, Mount Albert. The Rev. A. I>rake performed the ceremony, and Mrs. C. Fowler presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church or. the arm of her brother, Mr. John Grey, wore a charming: frock of ivory satin beaute. The ankle-length skirt and an uneven hem of tulle had insets of silver leaves and satin flowers. A veil of white tulle was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and ■ she carried a shower bouquet of dahlias and asters. The bridesmaid. Miss Mary Grey, a sister of the bride, was in a frock of
delphinium blue georgette, dipping in points to the ankles, with a tulle picture hat to match. She carried a bouquet of dahlias and irises in apricot shades. Two little flower girls, Elaine Fowler and Betty Grey, the bride’s nieces, were in pretty frocks of blue taffeta silk, with blue and silver bonnets, and carried baskets of flowers. Mr. C. Grey attended the bridegroom j as best mail. A reception was held at Mrs. Grey’s home, where she reecived her guests wearing a gown of black satin beaute. ! with beige trimmings and beige bankok j bat. She carried a bouquet of scarlet | flowers. A large marquee, opening off the verandah, had been beautifully decor- j ated for the wedding breakfast. Mrs. Forsyth, mother of the bridegroom. was frocked in navy blue crepe do chine, with oriental trimmings, and hat to tone. Her bouquet was of autumn tints. Among those present wen-—Mrs. .7. Forsvth.
