NOT IMPRESSIVE
THE Wellsford representative, Gumdigger, who is engaged at ! the Manawatu and Hawke's Bay Trotting Club fixtures next week, arrived at Epsom last night. He was given a run on the track this morning, but his exhibition was nothing to enthuse over. After several bad breaks in a two-mile spin, G. A. Williams’s colt ran a half-mile, without any mistakes, in 1.8. His showing was much below his home form, and the travelling has evidently upset the young pacer.
