BRITISH WAR LOAN

TOTAL OF 155 MILLION LONDON. Thursday. A statement was made in the House of Commons by' the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Philip Snowden, regarding the result of the per cent, cash and conversion loan announced on February* 23. Mr. Snowden said the amount of the new loan issued for cash—the price of issue having been 95—was £155,325.000 and by the conversion of 54 per cent. Treasury bonds. £30,372,000. In addition, £33,500,000 of the 5 per cent. 1929-47 war loan had been converted into the new loan.
