About 20,000 head of sheep and cattl* were yarded at the stock sal<* today a large proportion being breeding e> w J Fat sheep showed practically no alteration in prices, but breeding ewes were down considerably, many lines offering being passed in. Ewes generally were not up to the standard set at the ewe fair two weeks ago. Values were: Fat Sheep.—Lambs. 15s lOd: prims wethers, 26s to 26s 6d; good wethers 25s 6d: medium wethers, 23s to 24sprime ewes. 20s 3d to 21s; good ewes' 17s to 17s lOd; medium ewes, 15s to 16s 9d. Store Sheep.—Two-tooth best breeding ewes, 32s Id to 345; good breeding ewes. 26s 9d. other lines, from 23s 8d to 2 4s: four-tooth lambs. 21s 3d; four and five-year best ewes, 25s ld;^iVeyear ewes, 17s to ISs Id; ewe lambs' 13s to 15s 4d; wether lambs. 14s. Fat Cattle. —Prime cows, £lO 12r. 6<J to £lO 15s; Hereford bullocks. £loloa to £l2 7s 6d: Shorthorn cows, £<)■ heifers, £ll to £ll 15s; Jersey cows heavy, £lO 7s 6d to £11: light, £8 2s 6d; fat steers, £6 to £6 15.
