MORRINSVILLE GOLF CLUB

From Our Own Corespondent MORRIN S VILLE, Today. The annual meeting of the Morrinsville Golf Club was held on Thursday evening, the president, Mr. F. W. Seifert, presiding. The committee in its annual report stated that the membership during the year, including limited and country members, totalled 106, an increase of six. The women members numbered 65, an increase of eight on the previous year, and the men 41, a decrease of two. The championships were won by R. L. Dodd (men’s senior), E. Jackson (men’s junior) and Miss M. Grimwade (women). The balance-sheet showed receipts totalling £292 2s 6d, the principal items being: Subscriptions £221 10s, bridge evenings and dance £22 19s 6d. and grazing £25. The expenditure amounted to £ 287 18s 2d, giving an excess of income over expenditure of £ 4 4s 4d. The assets were listed as £424 9s, compared with £384 9s 5d at the end of the last financial year. Officers were elected as follow*: President, Mr. F. W. Seifert (reelected) ; vice-president, Mr. T. F. Hodges; captain, Mr. T. J. Ryan; vicecaptain, Mr. F. E. Forster; secretary, Mr. A. J. Mueller; treasurer, Mr. T. J. Ryan; auditor, Mr. J. H. Wyatt; committee: Messrs. P. Petry, E. Jackson and H. Laver: women’s committee: Mesdames T. J. Ryan and F. W. Seifert.
