CHAMPIONS TO RACE
WESTERN SPRINGS TONIGHT The two fastest visiting motor-cyc-lists who have ridden on the cinders at Western Springs will compete tonight in a series of match races and will be matched against Aucklanders in the evening’s motor-cycling programme. Frank Pearce, who holds both track records at this track, will attempt to break his mile record ihis evening. He has a new machine, claimed to be even faster than his former one. Charlie Spinks holds the Dominion one-mile record and should prove a worthy opponent. These two Australians will also ride in the Pascoe Cup heats, but will not be eligible to hold the trophy.
